We decided on an early start as we had to cross borders from Uganda to Rwanda. The first 8 km was a dusty gravel road which we all enjoyed.
The road fro Kabale to the Rwanda border is a beautifully paved road now, without potholes or ditches. The border post was busy as usual, but so much quicker than our first border crossing on tour. Once in Rwanda we had to switch to the right hand side of the road. The Americans felt right at home.
Rwanda offers beautiful twisty mountain roads. A must for any biker. We had lunch in Ruhengeri, at the foot of the Volcanoes National park, home of the Mountain Gorillas. A visit to the Dian Fossey foundation finished off the day.

The Mountain View Gorilla Lodge is a perfect place to stay as a base for the Gorilla trekking. The group cannot wait for our visit to these amazing animals tomorrow.
